Donations

       Please know that no donation is required to be a part of this cause. Yet, any donation to our charity, the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc., is appreciated and will be put to good use in Hampton Roads.

This nonprofit is a Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and United Way charity. As a member of either, you can designate your donation to a Hampton Roads charity, the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc. which sponsors our Walk.

Terms and Conditions:
      Although donations are not required to be a part of this initiative to promote good mental health and to prevent suicide, any contribution would be tax deductible. It will go to the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc., which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. And, we can assure you that any funds raised would be put to good use and would stay in Hampton Roads.

There are four ways you can donate:
(1) Online by clicking on the Donation Button below, or
(2) by turning in a donation that Saturday morning at the Hampton Roads Morning of Hope Shelter #1, or
(3) by writing a check made out to Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group Inc.; and sending it to the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc.; c/o Chris Gilchrist, LCSW; 3802 Poplar Hill Rd., Suite B, Chesapeake VA, 23321.
(4) If you support Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or United Way, you can designate your donation to go to our nonprofit – Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc.

In Memoriam
If you would like to make a donation in memory of a loved one, you can click the Donation button below to make your donation. There will be an option for making donations in memory of someone. Enter their name and yours as the donor. The list of names In Memoriam can be found on this website’s site navigation under “Donations in Memoriam”.

When you donate online, you are able to set up a fund-raising page.

If you have any questions or difficulties registering or donating online, just click on the “Need Help?” button at the top of each page. Our server will immediately send you an email to let you know that they’ve received your request. They will get back to you shortly to respond with feedback regarding your question and they will give you a phone number that you may call. They provide this HELP service every day from 9am to 6pm. “We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
This policy applies to all information received by the Hampton Roads Morning of Hope, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the Morning of Hope website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.”

REMEMBER:

• September, November, December are usually the Campaign months for Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and United Way. These are months when you are able to designate donations to your charity. The name of our charity is Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc. We appreciate your support if you’re wanting to make this donation to this Hampton Roads Walk and cause. If you have any questions, you can talk to your workplace’s CFC or United Way contact person.

If you are a CFC (Combined Federal Campaign): Military or federal employees are able to designate your donation to this cause to Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc. You can make a one-time donation or designate an amount to be automatically taken out of your paycheck.

If you are a United Way Contributor: You can designate your contribution to go to support the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc. You can make a one-time donation or designate an amount to be automatically taken out of your paycheck.

If you purchase from Amazon:
You can designate %0.5 of your purchases “Under Smile Amazon” to support the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group, Inc., which is now a non-profit write-in charity.
